Construction of a new office building for Agristo in Wielsbeke, which will become the new headquarters in the spring of 2021. This project focuses on an integrated approach to sustainability, both constructionally and socially. The project therefore has the ambition to be a BREEAM Excellent building.

The building has a basement level, which mainly serves as a parking lot. A soil mix wall with a concrete facing wall is provided all around, due to the proximity of adjacent buildings and plot boundaries and the need for drainage within the construction pit. The basement has a completely precast concrete structure, consisting of columns, beams and prestressed concrete hollow core slabs. The walls were cast on site.

The first floor is a cast-in-situ concrete slab with weight-saving elements, strengthened by a number of heavy composite floor beams which support the columns above. The floor plate is supported by cast in-situ concrete columns and walls.

The 3 levels above are constructed of composite and steel columns, to keep them as slim as possible, and flat floors with weight-saving elements. A beautiful atrium is situated in the center of the building, all the way from the ground floor level to the roof slab. A connecting bridge is provided between the new office building and an existing factory building.
