Thorough renovation of a hospital built in the 1960s and 1970s.

After a thorough renovation, AZ Zeno in Blankenberge will specialise more in geriatrics or care for the elderly. The right wing of the hospital was thoroughly refurbished both inside and outside. That wing includes a brand-new facial clinic housing ophthalmology, stomatology, nose-throat-ear and plastic surgery.

The thorough renovation consists of a complete reconstruction of the central armpit, a total dismantling of one wing and a facade extension of the same wing. The transparent new central entrance hall houses a large entry hall.

The hospital remained in service during the implementation of the first phase in which about 10,000 m² was built.
